PHD STUDY PROGRAMMES
ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD PROCESSING
This program offers a comprehensive, research-oriented pathway designed to help candidates build expertise in economics, agricultural economics, and policy analysis, while fostering essential skills in scientific writing, methodology, and publishing. This program not only strengthens students' theoretical knowledge but also encourages practical applications through a mix of required and elective courses.
BUSINESS ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT
This program offers expertise in business economics, management, and advanced economic research. Program equips students with the necessary tools for in-depth analysis, research, and application in the fields of economics, business management, and policy. Students will not only build theoretical expertise but also acquire practical skills to solve complex problems across various sectors.
PhD structure at FEM SUA
The PhD study at FEM SUA is designed to be completed in three years (full-time) or four years (part-time) and requires a total of 180 credits — 60 for courses and 120 dedicated to research.
In the first year, students begin focusing on independent research while completing mandatory courses and actively participating in seminars, conferences, and workshops. PhD students are also expected to contribute to teaching activities. The program concludes with a public defense of the dissertation, after which the title of “PhD” is awarded.
